New Trinity Quiz League Starts Up:

Quiz night was bustling once again at Trinity Three Irish Pubs this Tuesday after a slightly more casual quiz last week's following the Summerfest celebrations.

And it was none other than Bills Cosby & the Sweaters who asserted their authority - winning the night's quiz and putting them in poll position to defend their league title!

Trinity quiz veterans Dewey Decimators also returned, finishing second, as did vets Juicy Fruit although their score was mid-table-esque.

As expected this league will run for a six week period, concluding on August 12th!

Until next time Milwaukee, drink while you think....

League Final Brings Stunning Conclusion at Trinity. New League Begins Next Tuesday!

It was back to quizness at Trinity Three Irish Pubs this Tuesday night. Summerfest had proved a distraction for some of the regular teams but it was the final of the bar's current trivia league, and it was still all to play for.

Going into the night, two teams were within a point of each other, with 3 Shots of Tequila and Bill Cosby & the Sweaters battling it out for quiz league supremacy. Fortunately for the latter, both teams had tied on a solid 63 from 71 points on the night, meaning Bill Cosby & His Sweaters won the league by one solitary point. However, with their scores being the highest of the teams on the night, they also had a Sudden Death round to endure.

Fortunately for 3 Shots of Tequila, they were able to pull off the Sudden Death win, meaning ultimately both teams won $75 in bar tabs on the night!

Ranga Rumblers finished a notable third place, while regulars Dewey Decimators, Team Team and Green Street Elite all completed the league on the final night.

We'd like to thank all the teams that came out during this league at Trinity. We'll be starting a new six-week-long league as of next Tuesday July 7th. We hope to see you there!

Article of the Week - Tupac Shakur

Tupac Shakur:
Seen here with Jim Belushi in his
final movie role in "Gang Related"

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) and Makaveli, was an American rapper. In addition to his status as a top-selling recording artist, Shakur was a promising actor and a social activist. Most of Shakur's songs are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society and conflicts with other rappers. Shakur's work is known for advocating political, economic, social and racial equality. Shakur was initially a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.

Shakur became the target of lawsuits and experienced other legal problems. He was later shot five times and robbed in the lobby of a recording studio in New York City. Following the event, Shakur grew suspicious that other figures in the rap industry had prior knowledge of the incident and did not warn him; the controversy helped spark the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry.

On the night of September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. He died several days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at the University Medical Center.
